My Dad always used to tell me, “look after your bike, and your bike will look after you”. It was just his way of getting me to clean it, but the saying has stuck to me through life and I hear myself repeating it to my kids – and I still live by it today. It’s worth getting a checkover and tune up once a quarter at least for regular riders. Here’s what that involves:

• Bike inspected on arrival and quote given to customer

• Work will be carried out in 1 business day (if parts are not needed)

• Price does not include parts

• Bike is guaranteed from workmanship for 7 days with free tuning (punctures and bike falling over is not in the guarantee)

• Bike washed and cleaned

• Safety check and evaluation

• Degrease drivetrain cassette, chain, derailleurs; cranks left on bike

• Polish bike

• Lube chain drive train (customers preference wax / wet lube )

• Check Bottom Bracket and tighten where necessary (bb not removed from bike)

• Check Headset and tighten to torque where necessary

• Tighten and check all bolts to torque

• Adjust gears: set limit screws and barrel adjusters (including electronic shifters (SRAM, Shimano and Campagnolo)

• Removal of rear derailleur and check hanger

• Adjust brakes: barrel adjusters and pad alignment (including disc brakes: remove pads and clean + clean rotors)

• Basic wheel true

• Check tyre pressure and inflate to correct PSI

• Test ride before and after service
